ACES 2005: Rochester
ACES #4– Rochester Roc's !
The Rochester Club flexed its muscle on Saturday capturing the first-ever ACES
Series top honors. First, the organizers thanks to all 67 people who came out to
enjoy the event and a great round of golf. The local crew lead by Dave Thomas
had the Churchville course in top shape.... how they managed to scare up a wind
to make it interesting, I have no clue. A few notables:
* This was the largest event so far - 67 competitors!
* Rochester not only had the highest number of club members (39) but, even though they earned 'single points' as host - they had the highest single-event point total.
* Congrats to KC Cummings of Syracuse who won the CTP. He joins Tyler Lemke, Hank Foss, and Ryan Hand for the finals event. The grand prize is a custom DGA Mach II full-size portable basket - the real deal! Thanks DGA! This effort raised $140 for the charity of Syracuse's choice.
* Congrats to all who participated the Series grand prize is $1030 for the winning club!
* There will be an awards ceremony for the series as well as the Mach II basket event at the CNY Championships.
